Sanchita Ugale suicide: AICWA requests SIT for 'transparent' probe

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to order an SIT investigation into the death of television actor Sanchita Ugale. This latest request follows AICWA's earlier appeal to the Maharashtra Chief Minister on Monday, asking for a high-level investigation into Ugale's death. They said, "At a stage when her career was steadily progressing, and she was creating a strong identity for herself in the industry, this heartbreaking development has raised serious questions that deserve a fair, transparent, and comprehensive investigation." Ugale (22) was found dead at her residence in Mumbai's Nalasopara area on June 14.

Meanwhile, in an interview with NDTV, Ugale's father said, "She would remain upset. She did not tell us the reason, just that she stayed upset." "We had spoken to her, but she was being tortured." Police registered case on father's complaint
According to police, the incident occurred on June 14 evening at Sai Santoshi Building in Achole village, Nalasopara East. Ugale was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her bedroom, which was locked from the inside. She was rushed to a Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation hospital, where doctors declared her dead after examination. An Accidental Death Report (ADR) case was registered based on a complaint by her father, Machhindra Ugale.
