Ajaz Khan's wife on his arrest: He is being framed

A day after former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan was arrested for allegedly posting videos promoting communal hatred, his wife Andrea came out in his defense on Friday. She claimed that Ajaz was being wrongly framed. Notably, Ajaz has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days, for posting a controversial video related to Tabrez Ansari's lynching on video-sharing app TikTok.
During her recent media interaction, Andrea sought justice and claimed that Ajaz was raising voice against "the cruelty in India". "I want justice for my husband because people are going against him when my husband is the only one raising his voice not only for Muslims, for Hindus, for Christians, for all the cruelty in India," she added.

For the uninitiated, Ajaz was arrested by Mumbai crime branch's cyber cell on Thursday morning. Ajaz, who is infamous for voicing his controversial opinions, had reportedly taunted the Mumbai Police for filing an FIR against TikTok users, who said Ansari's kids shouldn't be "questioned if they become terrorists". According to reports, Ajaz will be in judicial custody for 14 days.
Reportedly, Ajaz has been booked under IPC section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc.) and Section 34, along with Section 67 of the IT Act (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form).
On a related note, actress Payal Rohatgi has also filed a complaint against Ajaz with the Mumbai Police cyber cell, accusing him of making lewd comments against her on social media. In her complaint, Payal alleged that Ajaz made a derogatory video targeting her for her political and religious beliefs. "I have filed a complaint as I am concerned about my safety," Payal said.
