Kumar and Priyadarshan's successful past collaborations
Kumar and Priyadarshan have previously collaborated on several successful projects. Their partnership began with Hera Pheri in 2000, which also starred Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. The film was a commercial success and has since become a cult classic. They later worked together on Garam Masala (2005), Bhagam Bhag (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), De Dana Dan (2009), Khatta Meetha (2010).
'Bhooth Bangla' marks a new genre for the duo
While their previous collaborations have primarily been in the comedy genre, Bhooth Bangla will mark a departure as it delves into horror. Notably, this is not Kumar's first foray into horror; he previously starred in films like Laxmii and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The latter was also directed by Priyadarshan. The release date and other details about Bhooth Bangla are yet to be announced.
