Director Karan Johar's biography was released in Mumbai by his close friend and ace star Shah Rukh Khan. The book was launched under Shobhaa De's line of books and released by Penguin Random House India. The book carries details from Johar's life, beginning from his "childhood to his entry into the film industry with a blockbuster of a debut."

Shahrukh's ode to Johar

At the launch, SRK said that Karan was an important person in his life. He said that the book was wrongly titled and should have been called 'The Good Boy' or 'The Intelligent Boy' or 'The Sensitive Boy' or 'The Brave Boy'. He joked that he felt he had accomplished a lot "because there is a full chapter dedicated to me in his book."

Few things Johar spoke about at the launch

Johar said that he didn't care about "people judge my sexuality because they think they own me, since I am in their living room every day as a TV personality". On his relationship with Kajol he said "chapters end. Books end. Relationships end." He also spoke about his relationship with SRK and said that he had first met him during the shooting of 'Duplicate'.
