'Used to it': Anurag Kashyap reacts to 'Nishaanchi' box-office failure
What's the story
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has reacted to the box office failure of his recent film Nishaanchi. The movie, starring Aaishvary Thackeray and Monika Panwar, was released in theaters on September 19 but failed to make a mark despite positive reviews. It earned around ₹1.5cr in India before being released on Amazon Prime Video.
Kashyap's reaction
'I probably expected a little bit more'
At the teaser launch event of his upcoming movie Dacoit, Kashyap said he was not disheartened by Nishaanchi's performance. He joked that he is "used to" such outcomes and added, "I probably expected a little bit more. I realized it on the second day." "Because it was one film, we decided to put both parts together on OTT. It was a file produced by Amazon, so I am okay."
