Box office: 'Sunny Sanskari...' struggles to compete with 'Kantara'
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's latest rom-com, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, is getting attention online for its behind-the-scenes moments.
The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, follows Sunny and Tulsi as they attempt to win back their former partners while their families push for new arranged marriages.
Despite some buzz, the movie has had a mixed start and is finding it tough to compete with the box office giant Kantara: Chapter 1.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opened in India with ₹9.25 crore on day one but has only reached ₹14.50 crore so far—while Kantara: Chapter 1 soared past ₹60 crore.
Collections dipped after the holiday but stayed steady with an 18% occupancy rate for Hindi shows, especially during evenings and nights.
Director Khaitan also cleared up that Alia Bhatt was never part of the film due to her busy schedule; Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf round out the main cast.
