Box office: 'Thamma' collects over ₹65 crore in India
Entertainment
Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's new horror-comedy, Thamma, has pulled in over ₹65 crore at the Indian box office within just four days of release.
The movie kicked off with a solid ₹24 crore opening, though collections dropped sharply by Friday.
Even so, it managed ₹9.55 crore on Day 4—pretty impressive considering most shows had lots of empty seats: Mumbai saw only 15% occupancy and Delhi NCR even less.
More about the film and its team
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a key role, Thamma is part of Maddock's horror-comedy universe.
It mixes supernatural twists with humor, keeping things light even when the chills kick in.
Despite low turnout in theaters, the film's strong earnings show it's still drawing plenty of attention.
