Chicago rapper Banks acquitted in federal murder for hire trial

Chicago rapper Lil Durk (real name Durk Banks) was found not guilty in a high-profile federal murder-for-hire case.
Prosecutors said he planned an ambush on Atlanta rapper Tayquian Bowman as payback for his friend King Von's death, but the jury sided with the defense and cleared him.
Banks faces October 5 racketeering trial
The prosecution leaned heavily on testimony from Kacey Hester, who claimed Durk asked if "somebody got hit" after the attack.
The defense argued Hester just wanted a lighter sentence and pointed to Banks's former assistant as the possible mastermind.
Even though Durk walked free this time, he faces another big trial for racketeering charges starting October 5.
