Chris Brown denies London assault charges

Singer Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted grievous bodily harm after allegedly attacking music producer Abraham Diaw with a bottle at Tape nightclub in London back in February 2023.
The incident, which happened in front of a crowded club and was caught on CCTV, has put Brown under serious legal scrutiny.

Brown released on £5 million bail

Brown's friend and co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu (aka Hoody Baby), has also pleaded not guilty.
Both are facing extra charges for assault causing actual bodily harm, and Brown is separately accused of possessing an offensive weapon—the bottle involved.
After being arrested in Manchester on May 15, Brown was released on £5 million bail but must stay in the UK (except for tour dates).
His trial starts October 2026, but he's still performing internationally while the case moves forward.
