What's the story

Chris Hemsworth, most popular for playing Thor in Marvel's movies, recently came to India to shoot for a Netflix film. While shooting in Ahmedabad, Hemsworth shared several videos and photos, visibly excited about visiting a foreign land and the adulation he received in India. However, his best reaction came when he firsthand witnessed the traffic on Indian streets. Read what he said about it.

Hemsworth's reaction

The underlying order in chaos

Hemsworth was overwhelmed at encountering Indian traffic firsthand. He described the crisscrossing cars, autos, and bikes, as 'beautiful chaos'. He imitated the honking sound, saying 'Beep beep' before describing a busy intersection, saying 'Traffic is flowing'. Hemsworth must have been scared of his car going on the wrong side of the road but it was eclipsed by his excitement at seeing tuk tuks.

India visit

But, why is Hemsworth in India?

Hemsworth has spent a week in India as he started filming for the Netflix film 'Dhaka' on November 3. The film starring Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda follows Hemsworth's character as he attempts to rescue a kidnapped Indian boy while coming to terms with his sense of identity. After shooting in Ahmedabad, the cast is expected to shift base to Mumbai and then Thailand.

Do you know?

Hemsworth is beyond grateful for the love he received

Hemsworth's visit to India has been met with huge adulation from fans, including him being sent chocolates shaped like Thor's hammer. He showed his love to the folks of India by posting pictures with them on Instagram.

Opinion

Keep your chaos, thank you very much

While Hemsworth seemed as disoriented with Indian traffic as his character, Thor was the first time he visited earth, he still called the chaos beautiful. Perhaps the cohesion underlying such disorderly traffic amazes foreigners, especially since Indian traffic conditions are often ridiculed abroad. However, as a native who has to navigate said traffic, thank you Hemsworth, but I choose order over chaos every time.
