COVID-19: Sakshi Tanwar, Shivin Narang's Mumbai building sealed
Popular TV actor Shivin Narang has revealed that an upscale residential complex in Malad, where he resides with his family, has been sealed after one of its residents tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The building is also home to other noted actors such as Sakshi Tanwar and Ankita Lokhande, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror. Here is more on this.
The infected person has been hospitalized; family is in quarantine
Shivin informed the publication that the infected person had traveled to Spain. He has been hospitalized and his family is currently in self-quarantine. The Beyhadh 2 actor said, "About a week ago, a lady from the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) turned up, enquiring about everyone's health and travel history, and informed that they were sealing off the complex."
Shivin said the society is covered by police security
"She (the official) shared the contact of a doctor for emergencies. There is police security outside since and we can only go till the gate to pick up delivery of essentials like grocery and medicines," Shivin further informed.
Shivin said he had stocked up essential supplies
Shivin said he stocked up on essential supplies, including medicines for his parents. While accepting that the situation is difficult, the actor noted that there is no other option than to follow the guidelines. He said he does not let his parents venture out, adding, "It is tough for the elderly who do not have younger family members to help (them) out."
Shivin featured in shows like 'Veera' and 'Internet Wala Love'
Shivin debuted on TV with Suvreen Guggal - Topper of The Year. He has also appeared in serials like Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera and Internet Wala Love. Recently, he also featured in 10th season of reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
COVID-19 has killed 178 in India
Notably, Mumbai continues to remain the worst-hit Indian city from the COVID-19 pandemic. The country's financial capital has witnessed more than 650 infections. Across India, the ongoing pandemic has claimed 178 lives and affected 5,916. Meanwhile, the entertainment fraternity is doing its bit to fight the pandemic. Many TV and film stars such as SRK and Akshay Kumar have pledged donations to the cause.
