Delhi HC halts 'Bro Code' movie title use
Delhi High Court has blocked Ravi Mohan Studios from using the title "Bro Code" for its upcoming movie, siding with Indospirit Beverages—the company that's owned the "BroCode" trademark since 2015.
The court felt using the same name could confuse people and hurt the drink brand's reputation, so any use or promotion of this title is paused until further notice.
Court's take on potential consumer confusion
Justice Tejas Karia pointed out that letting a film use "Bro Code" might mislead consumers and weaken Indospirit's brand.
The studio has a final disposal hearing set for December 5, with another hearing scheduled for December 23.
Indospirit files contempt petition against studio
Indospirit isn't just about beverages—they launched a "BroCode" YouTube series this year too.
Now they've filed a contempt petition, saying Ravi Mohan Studios ignored the court order and asking for stricter enforcement until everything gets sorted out.
