What's the story

Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Diana Penty were supposed to be the showstoppers at a recent Rohit Bal fashion show, but it was a fashionable stray dog that actually stole the show. On Wednesday, at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2018-19 in Mumbai, the canine managed to grab eyeballs with its cute and candid appearance and antics, leaving the audience in splits. Here's what happened.

Details

Dog emerges from bushes, walks on ramp, wagging its tail

In a video of the incident circulated widely on social media, a cream-ish color stray can be seen suddenly coming out of the bushes, and standing in front of five models. It was wagging his tail, nonchalantly, and sniffing the floor as it took rounds of the ramp. It also looked at the camera and the audience once, becoming the center of the attention.

Candidness

Models patted dog on stage, it apparently liked their 'lehengas'

After sometime, as three of the models started moving from the lower level of the stage towards the upper part, the dog got excited and went to greet them. In response, the models could be seen patting the dog on their way to the stage. The dog also seemed fascinated by Bal's collection as it kept poking its nose on the lehengas and sherwanis.

Shooed away

Dog was driven away by staff before Sidharth's walk

In another video, right before Sidharth was about to grace the ramp, the staff could be seen trying to shoo away the dog. Sidharth, who was also celebrating his birthday, did not mind the intrusion and smiled along. However, the dog's modeling career was short-lived as the crew was able to drive him away. Sidharth then began his walk with confidence and poise.

Birthday

Sidharth's ramp walk for Bal was part of birthday celebration

Meanwhile, Sidharth celebrated his 34th birthday walking on the ramp for Bal. "It's a birthday gift to walk for him. I did a ramp walk for him 10 years ago when I was in college. A few months ago, we were discussing that we have to do a show together and this show was organized on my birthday," he told media.
