Entertainment
Dulquer Salmaan's new period drama, Kaantha, has pulled in ₹17.4 crore across India in just five days.
The movie kicked off with an impressive weekend—₹4.35 crore on Friday, peaking at ₹5 crore on Saturday, and holding steady with ₹4.5 crore on Sunday.
While collections dipped a bit during the week (₹1.8 crore Monday, ₹1.75 crore Tuesday), the film is still drawing crowds.
Tamil Nadu loves it; mixed response elsewhere
Kaantha is especially popular in Tamil Nadu, where fifth-day occupancy hit nearly 15%, and night shows were packed at almost 17%.
In the Telugu states, turnout was more modest at around 11%, but steady footfalls show the film's appeal isn't limited to just one region.
