'Taskaree' teaser: Emraan Hashmi's thriller explores world of airport customs
What's the story
Netflix released the teaser for its upcoming crime thriller series, Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web, on Wednesday. Produced by Friday Storytellers and created by filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, the show is directed by Raghav Jairath. The first look follows Superintendent Arjun Meena, played by Emraan Hashmi, an officer tasked with dismantling complex smuggling networks at international airports.

The ensemble cast of Taskaree includes Sharad Kelkar, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Amruta Khanvilkar, Anurag Sinha, and Zoya Afroz in pivotal roles. The series was shot across four countries and multiple international airports to authentically capture the complexity of global smuggling operations. It is set to release on Netflix on January 14, 2026.
