Farhan Akhtar is hoping his new film, 120 Bahadur, will be made tax-free to help it reach a bigger audience.
The movie, which just released on November 21, 2025, dives into the 1962 India-China war.
Speaking at the International Film Festival of India in Panaji, Akhtar said he wants viewers to remember the heroes of India's past.
A tribute to courage at Rezang La
Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film tells the true story of 120 Indian soldiers who stood their ground against 3,000 Chinese troops during the Battle of Rezang La.
Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh and shared that bringing this chapter of India's military past to light was important to him.
The project is backed by producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Amit Chandrra.
