Filmfare OTT Awards 2025: 'Khauf,' 'CTRL' sweep technical segment
What's the story
The 2025 Filmfare OTT Awards (sixth edition) was a star-studded affair held at JW Marriott in Mumbai on Monday. The event, co-powered by Hyundai and Blenders Pride Fashion Tour, celebrated the best performances and technical excellence in web series and films over the past year. Hosted by Sayani Gupta and Amol Parashar, it was an evening filled with wit and energy. Here are the technical award winners.
Winners
'Khauf' and 'CTRL' dominated technical categories
The Best Cinematographer (Series) award went to Pankaj Kumar (Khauf), while Best Production Design (Series) was bagged by Priya Suhas and Surabhi Verma (Freedom at Midnight). Taniya Chhabria (Khauf) took home the Best Editing (Series) award, and Ayesha Dasgupta (FaM) won for Best Costume Design (Series). The VFX award in the series category was won by Phantom FX for Khauf. In web original films, Isshaan Ghosh won Best Cinematography for Stolen, while CTRL's Jahaan Noble took home Best Editing.
Screenplay
Screenplay and dialogue awards were also announced
The Best Dialogue (Series) award was shared by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava for IC814: The Kandahar Hijack. Sudip Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, and Rahul Kanojia won the Original Screenplay award for Paatal Lok 2. In the web original film category, Vijay Maurya won Best Dialogue for Agni while CTRL's Avinash Sampath took home the award for Best Original Screenplay.
Sound and music
'Khauf' and 'CTRL' also won in sound and music categories
Bigyna Dahal from Khauf won the Best Sound Design award in the series category. For Best Background Music, Series, Alokananda Dasgupta (Khauf) won. CTRL's Sneha Khanwalkar took home the award for Best Background Music in a web original film, while Susmit Bob Nath from Stolen won for Best Sound Design. The Best Music Album (Series) award was bagged by Akashdeep Sengupta for Bandish Bandits 2.
Best Story
'Khauf' and 'Paatal Lok 2' won for Best Story
The Best Story award in the series category was shared by Smita Singh for Khauf and Sudip Sharma for Paatal Lok S02. In the web original film category, Karan Tejpal, Gaurav Dhingra, and Swapnil Salkar won for Stolen. Renuka Shahane's Dhhaavpatti won Best Director (Short Film), while Ayesha took home the award for Best Short Film (Fiction). Langur was awarded the best short film (non-fiction or documentary). Best short film (People's Choice) went to Divorce.
