'Godse was a patriot': Actor Srikanth Iyengar faces backlash

Tollywood actor Srikanth Iyengar is facing backlash after a video of him making harsh remarks about Mahatma Gandhi went viral.
In the clip, Iyengar questioned Gandhi's title as "Father of the Nation" and even praised Nathuram Godse, which many political leaders and civil groups have called "highly disrespectful."

Iyengar should be suspended from film bodies: Congress leader

Congress MLC Balmur Venkat has filed a complaint with Hyderabad Cyber Crime, pushing for criminal charges and urging the film industry to take a stand.
Venkat said it's the industry's duty to speak up against insults to national leaders, and suggested Iyengar should be suspended from Tollywood bodies if he doesn't retract his statements.
So far, Iyengar hasn't responded publicly.
