The year 2019 started on a sad note for Bollywood as Kader Khan passed away on New Years eve in Canada. His demise was followed by heartfelt tributes from several celebrities. Govinda also penned an emotional message for his ustaad. However, Kader's son Sarfaraz was disappointed with Govinda's 'tribute' and slammed him. Now, Govinda has responded to Sarfaraz's jibe by calling him a 'kid'.

Kader's death shocked one and all. Moved by the unfortunate incident, Govinda wrote an emotional message for him on social media. He shared a still from their movie Dulhe Raja and said that Kader was his ustaad and a father figure to him. Govinda also wrote how Kader's midas touch made every actor he worked with a superstar.

Sarfaraz slammed Govinda for faking emotions

Govinda's 'father figure' statement didn't go down well with Kader's son Sarfaraz. He took a dig on Govinda and quizzed him if he ever inquired about his ustaad's health in all these years. "Has he even bothered to call us even once after my father's passing away?" Sarfaraz asked. He claimed the industry follows the 'out of sight out of mind' policy.

Unsurprisingly, Govinda was quizzed about Sarfaraz's comment against him. But the actor kept mum on it. Govinda mentioned that he is aware of what Sarfaraz said about him but he shouldn't react to it. "He is a kid and I wouldn't like to comment on it. I got to know (what he said)," Govinda told BBC Hindi.
