'Gustaakh Ishq' off to a slow start, earns just ₹50L on Day 1

Gustaakh Ishq, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, had a tough opening with only ₹50 lakh earned on its first day.
Released this Friday and directed by Vibhu Puri, the film struggled for attention as Tere Ishk Mein, featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, pulled in a massive ₹16.5 crore the same day.

Low turnout and big weekend test ahead

With just 8.61% occupancy on opening day, Gustaakh Ishq has a steep climb ahead. The team is hoping for better numbers over the weekend if positive word-of-mouth catches on.
Set in 1990s Old Delhi, the story follows Nawabuddin (Varma) as he tries to save his family's printing press while falling for Minni (Shaikh), all wrapped up in nostalgic Urdu poetry vibes.
