What's the story

The Priyadarshan-directed thriller Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, experienced a decline in its India net collection on the second day of release. The film earned ₹2.5cr on Saturday, marking a 16.7% drop from Friday's opening-day collection of ₹3cr, reported Sacnilk. Despite this dip, overall occupancy improved from 11% to 14%. The second-day earnings were recorded across 5,759 shows.

'Haiwaan's total gross collection so far

After two days, Haiwaan has earned ₹5.5cr in India net collection.

Its India gross collection stands at ₹6.6cr, while the film also added ₹1cr to its overseas gross on Saturday, taking the total overseas gross to ₹2cr.

The worldwide gross collection now stands at ₹8.6cr.

Film's plot and occupancy report

The Hindi 2D version of Haiwaan saw an overall occupancy of 16.02% on Day 2, with morning shows at 6.85%, afternoon shows at 15.46%, evening shows at 16%, and night shows peaking at 25.77%.

The film's plot revolves around Shyam, a blind caretaker who gets entangled in a murder case after being framed for the killing of retired Judge Pradhan.

Haiwaan marks the reunion of Khan and Kumar on screen after 18 years. Their pairing has been a major talking point for the film.
