What's the story

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has demanded several cuts in the upcoming horror-comedy Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. As per Bollywood Hungama, the changes include audio alterations in three dialogues and one visual modification. "Alexander" was changed to "Sikandar," while "Ashwathama" was muted in another dialogue. The film is set to hit theaters on October 21.

Scene alteration

'Azaadi doonga' replaced with 'Aiyaashi karata hoon'

In the second half of Thamma, the words "Azaadi doonga" were replaced with "Aiyaashi karata hoon." The Examining Committee also requested that the slurping sound of drinking blood be minimized. Additionally, a kissing scene in the second half was reduced by 30%, or five seconds. Although this may disappoint some viewers, it is one of the shortest intimacy cuts requested by CBFC recently.
