Johnson took to Instagram and expressed how sentimental he felt about the film. He posted a video of him hugging director David Leitch, famous for films like Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde. Johnson also delivered a speech to the film's crew about why the project was so special to him. He said, "From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all you guys."
Johnson's caption captures his emotion, as he thanked everyone, saying, "HOBBS & SHAW - that's a wrap... This production will always be more than a movie to me. It's represents a soul, a DNA, a toughness, a perseverance and a CULTURE." "I love you all...for trusting me on this one. Audience always comes first... and they're gonna have a f****** blast."

Johnson also celebrated the film's wrap up on Twitter posting a picture of himself with co-star Jason Statham, but it was more fun and less emotion there. Making fun of Statham, he said, "That's an official wrap on HOBBS & SHAW. Me and my pasty a**hole partner here can't wait for you to see it. Oh the fun you'll have... AUG 2nd worldwide".
For those unaware, Johnson's character Hobbs is a US government agent who has to team up with Statham's Deckard Shaw, an assassin. Hobbs and Shaw must put aside their differences if they are to take down a genetically engineered superhuman villain played by Idris Elba. The film promises to be explosive and full of action and we cannot wait for it to hit theaters.
