#HindiMedium2: Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan to begin shooting next week
With Irrfan Khan back in India after his cancer treatment, his fans have been eagerly waiting for Hindi Medium 2 to hit the floors. And now, according to reports, Irrfan, along with Radhika Madan, is currently in Rajasthan and will start shooting for the first schedule of Hindi Medium 2 next week. Following this, they will head for an international schedule in London.
"Irrfan and Radhika started prep a while ago and are looking forward to kick off the first schedule in Rajasthan. It is an important portion after which they will take off for the international schedule," a source close to the filming process stated.
Apparently, Radhika, known for TV serial Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, will be playing the role of Irrfan's daughter in Hindi Medium 2. This will be her first collaboration with Irrfan. Apart from Irrfan and Radhika, Hindi Medium 2 will also star Kareena Kapoor Khan in a lead role. If media reports are to be believed, Kareena will essay the role of a cop.
Earlier, Hindi Medium 2 was said to be the sequel of Irrfan's 2017 release Hindi Medium. However, according to some reports, the makers have decided to present the sequel with a twist. Reportedly, they have also changed the title of the movie from Hindi Medium 2 to English Medium. Further, the movie will have a major change in the plot as well.
Helmed by Homi Adajania, English Medium will have an interesting storyline, which is expected to appeal to the masses. "The film will not just address the issues of Hindi medium students in the US but also those of the students from other countries who face trouble fitting into a system where English is the primary spoken language," a sourced was quoted as saying.
On a related note, Irrfan, who was diagnosed with the Neuroendocrine tumor last year for which he went to London, penned an emotional post about how grateful he was for his fans' unconditional love. "In our vulnerability, we're reminded. As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love," he wrote.
