James Cameron wants to visit SS Rajamouli's 'Varanasi' set
James Cameron, the director behind Avatar, recently told SS Rajamouli that he'd love to visit the set of Rajamouli's new film, Varanasi.
Their chat happened just before Cameron's Avatar: Fire & Ash hits theaters on December 19, 2025.
In his words: "May I come to your set sometime and watch you create your magic?"
A warm exchange—and some movie buzz
Rajamouli was genuinely thrilled and said it would be an "absolute pleasure" to have Cameron on set, adding that the whole industry would be excited too.
The video call wrapped up with some light-hearted jokes about tiger scenes from RRR (2022), showing off their mutual respect.
For context: Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in a sci-fi story inspired by the Ramayana; meanwhile, Avatar: Fire & Ash is part of Cameron's blockbuster franchise.
