Kamal Haasan reacts to Sundar C's exit from Rajinikanth film
What's the story
Earlier this month, makers announced that Rajinikanth would headline a film tentatively titled Thalaivar 173, with Sundar C set to direct it. However, a few days later, Sundar announced his decision to step back from the project due to "unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances." Now, producer Kamal Haasan has reacted to this development and revealed that they are on the lookout for an appropriate script.
Producer's statement
Haasan emphasized the need for a satisfactory script
Speaking to reporters, Haasan said, "Sundar C has explained the reason for his withdrawal from the project through a press release. I don't have anything to add to it." "As an investor, I want a script that my star likes for the film. That is the healthy way to go about it. We will keep searching for the right stories until he likes it." He also hinted at possibly bringing in a younger director.

He called it a "difficult decision" and expressed his gratitude toward both Rajinikanth and Haasan for considering him for this project.
