Kangana Ranaut hates social media, finds it 'evil,' 'disgusting'
Social media is all about tapping into the personal lives of celebrities, where everything revolves around their daily gossips, feuds, and criticisms. There are those who eat, sleep and live social media and this does get insane after a while. However, there are some like actress Kangana Ranaut, who find social media disgusting, disrespectful and evil. Bollywood's Queen clearly hates social media. Here's why.
"Rangoli (Chandel, Kangana's sister-cum-manager) says that though I've helped people build hospitals and gifted a Rs. 2.5cr flat to my yoga teacher, nobody knows about them as I don't talk about it," Kangana shared. "She says that people have taken advantage of my absence on social media. (But) I can't invest so much time on something that doesn't deal with an issue," she added.
Though the 32-year-old actress doesn't have any social media account, Rangoli frequently posts her updates and videos on Twitter, which is "funny," as per Kangana, "but she (Rangoli) feels it is important." "Today, everything must be proved with photos and videos. How do I become a person who records and documents everything, so no one questions me tomorrow? It is strange," she added.
Even last year, Kangana had said that she finds social media 'consuming,' and doesn't feel the need to be on it just for the heck of it. "Sometimes your agents tell you just open an account and don't post, or let us post. That's not okay with me, because I haven't done anything in my life where I am not involved," she had said.
To note, Kangana is not the only one who stays away from social media and its scathing effects. Other stars like Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan also don't like to indulge in the virtual side of people's lives. Well, no harm.
On the work front, Kangana recently wrapped up shooting of Panga, a sports drama being directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. She is also gearing up for Prakash Kovelamudi directorial, Mental Hai Kya?, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. The other movie that is already in her basket, Jaya/Tailaivi, to be directed by Vijay, is a biopic on former actress and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa.
