The film's gripping story and Shetty's standout performance have made it a favorite across India.

Regional wins and pan-India appeal

Even with an early OTT release, Kantara kept drawing crowds to theaters.
The Kannada version earned ₹199.46 crore, while the Hindi dub brought in ₹223.33 crore—outshining several Bollywood releases.
Add to that strong numbers from Telugu (₹89.94 crore), Tamil (₹63.31 crore), and Malayalam (₹45.31 crore) audiences, and you've got one of the year's biggest hits—second only to KGF 2 among Kannada films!
