The Hindi version of Kantara Chapter 1 is set to make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video on November 27, according to Filmibeat. The film was released in theaters on October 2. It has since become India's highest-grossing film of the year with over ₹900 crore earnings, and it became available for streaming after its successful theatrical run on October 31. But only the South Indian language versions were released.

Cast and crew of 'Kantara Chapter 1'
Earlier, makers confirmed that the Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and other versions had to be released on OTT within a month due to a pre-existing agreement with the streamer. The Hindi version will come out later, as per the 8-week norm observed in this belt. Kantara Chapter 1 is set in pre-colonial Karnataka, where forest tribes battle against a tyrannical king. It features Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth. Written and directed by Shetty, the film was produced by Hombale Films.
Creative process
'Kantara's backstory took longer to develop
Speaking to IANS, Shetty revealed that the script for Kantara: A Legend was completed in just three to four months with only three to four drafts. He said, "We wrote only 3-4 drafts and completed the script in 3-4 months before going straight into shooting. It was very simple." The film is set to get another sequel, the latest addition to the franchise that started with the original 2022 release, Kantara.
