'Kantara Chapter 1' release date locked; advance bookings go viral

The prequel to the hit film Kantara, called Kantara Chapter 1, is officially set for a global theatrical release on October 2, 2025.
Although there was a dispute over revenue-sharing that threatened the film's release in Kerala, the issue has been resolved, and fans can look forward to seeing it on the big screen soon.

OTT release details and advance booking updates

Advance bookings in Karnataka saw 10,000 tickets snapped up in just 34 minutes.
In Kerala, Malayalam version bookings open September 28 at 12:30pm.
After a four-week run in cinemas, the movie will drop on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages starting October 30.
The original Kantara was a huge success back in 2022, and this prequel is already drawing major attention.
