Karan Johar downplays 'Tu Meri Main Tera' clash with 'Dhurandhar'

Filmmaker Karan Johar has addressed the box office competition between his upcoming romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar. The latter has been performing well since its release a few weeks ago. The film is also set to compete with James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash. Despite speculation, Johar confirmed that he will not change the release date of his film, which is scheduled for December 25.

He added that he has heard great things about Avatar: Fire and Ash but also praised his own film. He said, "I've heard some great things about Avatar, but I have also heard amazing things about our film. I know it's a festive release."

Johar expressed anticipation for 'Ikkis'
Johar also spoke about his anticipation for Ikkis, which was recently postponed from December 24. He said, "I want to take this opportunity to say how I am looking forward to watching Ikkis, it's such a special film for all of us." He added, "For me...we have such great respect, regard and reverence for Dharam ji, and it's been a tremendous loss for all of us watching him for one last time will mean the world to all of us."

The makers of Ikkis decided to postpone the film's release by a week due to the fierce competition at the box office. The film, which marks Dharmendra's last project, will be released posthumously after his death on January 1, 2026.
