Kardashian to have surgery after esophagitis diagnosis on 'The Kardashians'

Kim Kardashian just shared that she's having surgery to remove some "irregularities" in her esophagus after being diagnosed with esophagitis (that's inflammation of the esophagus).

She opened up about feeling anxious, especially because of her family's medical history, on a recent episode of The Kardashians.

Kardashian cites father's 2003 esophageal cancer

Kim's extra concerned since her dad, Robert Kardashian, passed away from esophageal cancer back in 2003.

While esophagitis isn't cancer, doctors say it can raise the risk if it becomes chronic.
