Kartik Aaryan is currently preparing for his role in Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand. According to Bollywood Hungama, producer Karan Johar is planning to turn the upcoming movie into a franchise. The outlet quoted a source saying, "As soon as the first Naagzilla film is launched, the pre-production for the next film in the series will start."

The insider added, "Kartik will be the only constant in the series. The rest of the cast and crew will change in every installment." Johar and Aaryan have a multi-film deal, with their romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri releasing on December 25, 2025. This will be followed by Naagzilla on August 14, 2026.

Aaryan, who turned 35 on Saturday, has been preparing for his role in Naagzilla by watching Reena Roy in Rajkumar Kohli's Nagin (1976). A meeting with Roy is also being planned to help him further understand his character.
