Khan announces 'Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace' December 4
Salman Khan just announced that his next big project, Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, will finally hit theaters on December 4, 2026.
The film's release was delayed because Salman wanted the visual effects to be up to the mark and because madam got injured, and it took her time to recover.
Khan says, "We want this film to visually blow everyone's mind. It is a beautifully shot film."
'Maatrubhumi' Galwan tribute draws China criticism
Maatrubhumi dives into the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China, where 20 Indian soldiers, including Bikkumalla Santosh Babu (played by Khan), lost their lives.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film aims to pay tribute to these soldiers.
However, after its teaser dropped on Khan's 60th birthday, it faced criticism from China's Global Times for allegedly twisting facts, adding a layer of controversy to this high-profile release.
