The order of watching all Marvel Cinematic (MCU) films
Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has blessed us with some of our favorite superheroes like Captain America and Iron Man. Watching MCU films is one thing but enjoying them in the order the timeline takes place is a luxury. Here’s a little help from our side to save you from the struggle. We present to you the list of all Marvel films in chronological order.
Captain America: The First Avenger
An experiment designed to lead the United States of America to victory against the Nazis during World War II ends up in the birth of the first superhero and the first avenger, Captain America.
Captain Marvel
A woman pilot in the 80’s challenging stereotypes, meets with an accident during a flight to acquire supernatural powers. She discovers herself over the course of the film to become the superhero she always was.
Iron Man
A rich, playboy, philanthropist, arms and ammunition manufacturer gets kidnapped leading to a life-changing invention. His escape from the kidnappers leads to the birth of Iron Man.
Iron Man 2
It follows the events of Iron Man. Tony Stark’s arc reactor is failing as his new enemies resurface. The film chronicles his journey of discovering a new element, saving himself and then, the world.
The Incredible Hulk
We meet our third avenger in this film. A scientist while working with the US military to recreate the serum that led to the creation of Captain America, meets with an accident in the laboratory. This leads to a chemical reaction in his body which ultimately becomes the reason behind Hulk being born.
Thor
God of Thunder, Thor is banished from his kingdom after a careless and misjudged step leads to devastation. Stripped of his powers, he discovers over his time on earth the virtues of a true king.
The Avengers
The first appearance by the team brought together under the circumstances of a war waged on Earth. Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., assembles a team to fight Thor’s evil brother, Loki. You also meet Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow in this one.
Iron Man 3
It follows the events of The Avengers. Tony Stark is battling with PTSD after blowing a nuke into space and surviving the battle by sheer luck.
Thor: The Dark World
Thor returns to Earth to find his love, Jane Foster after Heimdall is not able to see her from Asgard. It sees the appearance of the third infinity stone, Ether, in the universe.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The captain is now working full-time with S.H.I.E.L.D. The organization is hiding secrets that will lead to the deaths of millions of people if ended in the wrong hands. Captain meets an old friend during the course of the film, that makes and breaks him at the same time.
Guardians of the Galaxy
A rogue thief, a daughter who escapes her father, two independent thieves, and a man who wants revenge for his family, come together in unnatural circumstances to form unbreakable bonds and find a family.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
It follows the events of the first film in the series. The team stumbles upon a man, Ego, who derives his energy from a planet he apparently owns. Peter Quill is related to him in the most unexpected way as Ego hides a hideous secret.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
The team now works together. In an attempt to protect Earth from invasion, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner decide to make a protective shield in the form of Ultron. It backfires and leads to certain revelations over the course of the film.
Ant-Man
A scientist needs to protect his secret, a fresh-out-of-jail thief needs money to meet his daughter, both decide to work together to protect the world. We see a suit that can convert a person into the size of an ant and an army of ants helping him.
Captain America: Civil War
It follows the events of the Age of Ultron. A man in need of revenge breaks the avengers in the most scrutinizing way possible. Sokovia Accords, a document prepared by the UN, is prepared to control the team.
Spiderman: Homecoming
After fighting by the side of Tony Stark, Peter Parker uses his new suit to fight evil in the neighborhood. One mistake, one reckless step leads to his suit being taken away and him discovering inner strength.
Doctor Strange
An accomplished surgeon meets with an accident taking away his ability to perform surgeries. His stubbornness to get well and return back to the performing surgeries leads him to Nepal, where he discovers something truly exceptional and nothing remains the same ever again.
Black Panther
After the death of his father in Civil War, T’Challa is set to ascend the throne of Wakanda. But it would not be easy. He has to protect the secret of Wakanda while making changes to accommodate the new world ideology.
Thor: Ragnarok
Thor is looking for infinity stones across the universe. But Asgard is in the mayhem. Ragnarok is upon them. Thor’s evil sister has taken over the crown. He must protect his own no matter what the cost.
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Scott Lang is under house arrest. His partners, Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne are on a run and on the verge of making contact with Hope’s mother in the Quantum realm.
Avengers: Infinity War
After acquiring the power stone, Thanos is now on the mission to gather all the six infinity stones and use them to create balance in the universe. Superheroes across the universe try to stop him in their own way possible but fail.
Avengers: Endgame
It follows the events of the Infinity War. The team (of whatever is left) is in scrapes. With 50 percent of the world wiped off, including some from the team, the remaining superheroes believe things are over. But the re-emergence of Scott Lang changes things and they all come together once again to resurrect the world. You also see the death of two beloved characters.
Spiderman: Far for Home
It is the first film to be released after the end of Infinity Saga. Peter Parker is dealing with a great loss and therefore, decides to go on a school trip. But his worst fears follow him leading to chaos and mayhem.
