Mannara Chopra to lead Tamil film 'Highlights'

Mannara Chopra, known from Bollywood films (and yes, she's Priyanka Chopra's cousin), is making her first film as a female lead in Tamil cinema in "Highlights."
The movie is a fantasy thriller set in pre-independence India and shines a spotlight on the Badaga community from The Nilgiris.
While she did appear briefly in a 2015 Tamil film song, this marks her first film as a female lead in Tamil.

Film will start shooting in Ooty

"Highlights" isn't just another thriller—it features Vijay Sathya, who belongs to the Badaga community himself.
The team plans to start filming in Ooty later this month or early November.
This project stands out for bringing lesser-known cultural stories to Tamil cinema and giving fresh representation on screen.
