'Masters of the Universe' tops Nielsen streaming on Prime Video
Masters of the Universe, Travis Knight's Masters of the Universe just dominated Nielsen's streaming charts for July 20-26, 2026.
Even though it struggled in theaters, the movie pulled in a massive 1.17 billion minutes watched on Prime Video after hitting streaming only weeks after its June release.
That quick move from cinema to home screens definitely got people curious.
'Masters of the Universe' underperforms theatrically
The film even outperformed The Big Bang Theory, which had 1.12 billion minutes across all its episodes during the same week.
While Masters of the Universe made just $114 million at the box office (well below its $170 million budget), it scored about 8.4 million full streams in its first online week, highlighting how viewers were curious enough to watch it but not curious enough to head to a theater to see it.
