Mumbai content creator Randeep Gujral arrested for extorting paneer seller

A Mumbai-based social media content creator, Randeep Gujral, landed in police custody after he tried to extort money from a local paneer trader.
Gujral posted a video on Instagram (where he has around 10,000 followers) claiming that a worm had been found in the trader's product, hurting the shop's reputation and business.
Randeep Gujral caught collecting extortion cash
Gujral first made the trader pay ₹50,000 via UPI to avoid more negative posts, then demanded another ₹2 lakh in cash.
Police caught him red-handed at a Mulund traffic signal while collecting the money.
He's now in custody until June 18 as police dig deeper into how social media can be misused for threats and extortion.
