Music director Harry Anand mourns Shefali Jariwala's death
Music composer Harry Anand shared his shock and sadness over the sudden passing of Shefali Jariwala, the iconic face of the 2002 hit Kaanta Laga.
He learned about her death while working in the studio and at first hoped it was just a rumor. Jariwala, only 42, reportedly died of cardiac arrest.
Anand said, "It's heartbreaking. I was going through her Instagram page last night. She posted just four days ago. It's hard to believe someone so full of life is no more."
Shefali was very dedicated during rehearsals
Anand played a big role in launching Jariwala's career—he directed her in Kaanta Laga and other music videos.
He recalled how dedicated she was during rehearsals, which helped make the song a massive hit and turned her into an overnight star.
Even though they hadn't worked together recently, Anand remembered their journey fondly and offered heartfelt condolences to her family and fans.
