The postponement of Akhanda 2 comes after a Madras High Court order that stayed its screening following an appeal by Eros International Media Limited, as per The Economic Times. The case is part of a long-standing legal dispute involving 14 Reels over an earlier arbitration award in favor of Eros, which entitled them to nearly ₹28 crore plus 14% interest. The court ruled that Akhanda 2 cannot be released until these dues are cleared.
