Netflix is in court after ex-NCB officer Sameer Wankhede sued over its series Ba***ds of Bollywood, saying a character copies him and paints him negatively.
Netflix pushed back, arguing that Aryan Khan's role as creator doesn't mean there was any intent to harm—even though Khan was once arrested by Wankhede himself.

Netflix's lawyer says the show is actually a satire about bigger issues in Bollywood, like nepotism and industry flaws—not about targeting real people.
Red Chillies Entertainment, which made the series, also clarified that all characters are fictional with exaggerated traits to highlight problems in the industry, not based on actual events or individuals.
