Nolan's 'The Odyssey' returns to North American theaters December 11
Entertainment
Heads up, movie fans: Christopher Nolan's hit The Odyssey is getting a big-screen comeback on December 11, after it drops for home viewing on November 17.
More than 1,000 theaters across North America will show it, including those fancy IMAX and IMAX 70mm screens.
'The Odyssey' $1B re-release seeks Oscars
This isn't just about catching epic visuals again. The Odyssey has already made more than $1 billion and is now the top-grossing R-rated film ever.
The re-release is a smart move to boost its Oscar chances by letting voters (and everyone else) experience its full cinematic impact.
With Nolan's last film Oppenheimer sweeping seven Oscars, all eyes are on The Odyssey for big nominations like Best Picture and Best Director.
