'Padmaavat' becomes first Indian movie to have an IMAX-3D release

The most-awaited movie of the year, Padmaavat, has finally seen the day of light. It has now got a release date of January 25. Adding to the victories, this epic drama starring Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika is all set to become India's first movie to have a Global IMAX 3D release. Here are the details.

Here's what the trade analyst revealed

Announcing the worldwide 3D release of Padmaavat, trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter and wrote, ".@deepikapadukone 's #Padmaavat will be the 1st Indian movie to have a Global IMAX 3D release. @ParamountPics will release the movie outside India. Dir #SLB". After a prolonged darkness, this news might bring some happiness to all the viewers eagerly waiting for the film.

However, it will still not release in some states

The film was originally scheduled to release on December 1, but after much ado it got an official release date of January 25. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actress Deepika Padukone also received death threats during the protests. And now, despite the Censor board's clearance, Padmaavat will still not be screened in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh.
