Dolly Parton's first posthumous single, "Bound to Ride," just dropped. The song was originally recorded by The Stanley Brothers in 1964 and later re-recorded with Parton in 2022 for a tribute album.
That album, "Where the Soul Never Dies: Celebrating 80 Years of The Stanley Brothers," is set to release on October 16.
Parton died after private cancer battle
Parton passed away on August 25 after a private battle with cancer, spending her last days working on a Broadway show about her life. She was laid to rest next to her late husband, Carl Dean.
The upcoming album also features artists like Willie Nelson, Sierra Ferrell, and Dierks Bentley with Della Mae, celebrating the lasting impact of The Stanley Brothers's music alongside Parton's own legacy.
