'Varanasi': Prithviraj talks about 'physically and emotionally challenging' role

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran recently spoke about his role in the upcoming epic Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli. At the teaser reveal event in Hyderabad on Saturday, he called his character Kumbha "one of the most complex, physically and emotionally challenging" roles he has ever played. He also thanked Rajamouli for the "torturous shooting process."

Sukumaran revealed that the opportunity to work with Rajamouli came while he was directing his own film. "I still have that message when I was in the middle of directing my own film, when Rajamouli sir said that for my next film, the part of the antagonist has been written...
