News18 Showsha quoted a source saying, "He felt that in keeping with the changing times, a pan-India awards platform was required, and suggested the idea to the Guild about six months ago."

INCA Awards to have a 5-year backing from Producers Guild
The Producers Guild of India, led by Shibasish Sarkar, has reportedly signed a five-year agreement to support the INCA Awards. This partnership was finalized during a meeting between Manish Goswami, Vice-President of the Guild and Induri, on Wednesday, December 17. The awards will not only showcase films from different linguistic regions but also aim to create a viable financial model for sustainability through sponsorship deals and distribution agreements.

The outlet quoted an anonymous Guild member, who stated, "The idea is to build the awards into a credible institution rather than a one-off event."
