'RC 15': Makers of Ram Charan's film issue anti-piracy statement
Ram Charan is currently in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, shooting for his next, RC 15. The team will be stationed there for a fortnight. Since the filming is taking place in an open space, its makers have issued a strong statement asking everyone to "maintain restraint" and not click any photos or videos and post those on social media. They added violators will face action.
- When any movie is shot in an open area, onlookers take pictures/videos of the filming process and post them online.
- This, at times, gives out spoilers with regards to actors' looks and/or a co-actor whose appearance the makers want to keep a secret until the film premieres.
- But a statement like this has hardly been issued earlier. So, it is definitely a welcome move.
In their official statement issued on Twitter, the makers of RC 15 wrote, "The shoot of #RC15 #SVC50 is happening in open areas with a crowd as per the requirements of the film. We request everyone avoid posting shooting pictures and videos taken illegally." "Our anti-piracy team will be taking action against ids posting the unauthorized content (sic)," the statement added.
Directed by S Shankar, RC 15 has Kiara Advani as the leading lady and it's her first pan-India film. The venture was rolled out in September last year and is being made in several languages simultaneously. Jayaram, Anjali, Sunil, Srikanth, and Naveen Chandra, among others, are on board to play other pivotal roles, while S Thaman has been signed as the film's music composer.
Separately, Charan's next release is the mega-budget venture RRR. The SS Rajamouli directorial also has Jr. NTR in the other lead role, while Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran will appear in extended cameo appearances. The period drama is finally gearing up for a release on March 25. Charan also has Acharya in the pipeline which is to be released on April 29.
