Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' 1st look launch postponed to May?
What's the story
The much-anticipated launch of the first look of Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus, Ramayana: Part One, has reportedly been postponed. The event was originally scheduled for March 26 at the Gateway of India to coincide with the Ram Navami festival. However, producer Namit Malhotra has decided to delay it due to rising geopolitical concerns amid the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, reported Mid-Day. Promotional activities might now start in May.
Statement
Here's why the event was postponed
An insider close to the production told Mid-Day, "The Ram Navami launch was planned as a massive moment for the film, but Ramayana is not just a domestic project; it's an international film with a global audience." "The producers felt that the current situation worldwide is not the most conducive environment to unveil such important material." The first part of Ramayana will be released on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part on Diwali 2027.
