
Ranbir Kapoor reveals 'Animal Park' will begin filming in 2027

Ranbir Kapoor, who celebrated his 43rd birthday on Sunday, gave an exciting update about the much-awaited sequel to his blockbuster film Animal. During an Instagram Live session, he revealed that Animal Park will go on floors in 2027. "Sandeep (Reddy Vanga) has been interacting with me on the idea, the music and the characters, and it's just crazy," he said.

Kapoor expressed his eagerness to start filming Animal Park. He said, "I can't wait to be on set." Earlier, he had told Deadline that Vanga wants to make an "over three-part" movie for Animal, and they should start that film in 2027. He added, "I think he (Vanga) just kind of flirted with what he really wants to do with the movie. He wants to make it over three parts. The second part is called Animal Park."

Kapoor also shared his excitement about playing two characters in Animal Park. He told Deadline, "We have been sharing ideas from the first film itself on how he wants to take the story forward. It's very exciting because now I get to play two characters: the antagonist and the protagonist." Animal, which was released in 2023, starred Kapoor as Ranvijay Singh and Anil Kapoor as his industrialist father, Balbir Singh. Apart from Animal Park, Kapoor has several other projects in the pipeline. He is currently working on Nitesh Tiwari's two-part epic Ramayana, where he will be seen playing Lord Ram. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, where he will share screen space with his wife, Alia Bhatt. The war drama also stars Vicky Kaushal in a lead role.
