Rashmika Mandanna opens up about healing and Vijay Deverakonda's support
Rashmika Mandanna shared how her partner Vijay Deverakonda has helped her heal emotionally, especially while working on her new film The Girlfriend (2025).
She spoke about the importance of choosing relationships that make you happy and contrasted this with times she felt stuck in the past.
Rashmika also said playing Bhooma—a woman moving on from a tough relationship—felt cathartic and close to her own journey.
Past relationships and finding strength
Rashmika was previously engaged to actor Rakshit Shetty, but they split in 2018. Afterward, she grew close to Deverakonda, her co-star from Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
Their bond became public through joint appearances. Rashmika expressed that Vijay has been a significant support during her lowest points.
The couple is reportedly engaged now, with wedding plans for early 2026.
